1. General Policies 

The Multicultural Death & Grief Care Academy (“the Academy”) is committed to providing high-quality educational programs focused on culturally competent grief and death care. These policies and procedures ensure clarity, fairness, and consistency for all participants. 

2. Enrollment and Payment Policy

  • Enrollment is confirmed only upon full payment of the course fee.
  • Payment must be completed before accessing any course materials or live sessions.
  • The Academy does not offer payment plans unless explicitly stated for specific courses or programs.

3. No Refund Policy

  • All sales are final. The Academy maintains a strict no refunds policy for all courses, workshops, and webinars.
  • In the event of an unforeseen personal emergency, students may request a one-time course transfer to a future session (if available), subject to Academy approval.
  • If a course is canceled by the Academy, students will have the option to transfer to a rescheduled session or receive credit toward another course.

4. Attendance and Participation

  • Live sessions require punctual attendance. Late arrivals of more than 15 minutes may be considered absent.
  • No partial attendance is permitted for certification courses—students must attend all sessions to receive a certificate of completion.
  • Recorded sessions (if available) are provided for review but do not replace live participation requirements.
  • Students must actively participate in discussions and complete all required assignments to remain in good standing.

5. Course Access and Materials

  • Students will receive access to course materials via the Academy’s designated learning platform.
  • Course materials are for personal educational use only and may not be distributed, copied, or shared without written permission.
  • Access to course materials is granted for a limited period (as specified for each course).
  • Any unauthorized distribution or reproduction of course content may result in legal action and immediate dismissal from the Academy.

6. Code of Conduct

  • The Academy promotes a respectful and inclusive learning environment. Disruptive behavior, harassment, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
  • Any student engaging in inappropriate conduct may be removed from the course without a refund.
  • Plagiarism, academic dishonesty, and any form of misrepresentation will result in immediate dismissal.
  • Professionalism is expected at all times in both written and verbal communication within the Academy’s learning environment.

7. Certification and Continuing Education Credits (if applicable)

  • Certificates of completion will only be issued to students who meet all attendance and participation requirements.
  • If the course qualifies for continuing education credits, students must follow the required procedures for verification.
  • The Academy complies with industry standards for continuing education in grief care, funeral service, and deathcare-related certifications.
  • Students are responsible for confirming course accreditation with their respective professional boards before enrollment.

8. Technical Requirements and Support

  • Students are responsible for ensuring they have a stable internet connection and necessary technology for virtual learning.
  • Technical support is available for platform-related issues but does not extend to individual device troubleshooting.
  • The Academy is not responsible for connectivity issues on the student’s end that may affect participation.

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

  • All student information is kept confidential and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
  • Discussions within the courses may include sensitive topics. Students are expected to respect the confidentiality of shared experiences and discussions.

10. Policy Updates

  • The Academy reserves the right to update these policies at any time. Students will be notified of significant changes.
  • By enrolling in any course, students agree to abide by these policies and procedures.
